"Jo Bonnier in his Maserati 250F" 

Joakim “Jo” Bonnier, the Swedish Formula 1 racing driver, taking part in the Daily Express International Trophy at Silverstone Circuit on 3rd May, 1958. He is driving a Maserati 250F, which for this race had the number 11.

"Street Dancing the Traditional Way" 

Morris dancers enjoying the May sunshine during the Sweeps Festival, held in Rochester, Kent in 2009.

When this painting was exhibited during the "Art in Gravesham 2010" show held at the St Andrew’s Art Centre, Gravesend, Kent (29 July – 1 August 2010) it received 1st Prize.  I was very pleased (as can be seen in the photo below) and would like to thank the organisers for putting on a very interesting and well presented show.

"The Seesaw"

Two small boys attempt to play on a seesaw, which is clearly as high as they are tall.

I liked the subject of this painting as it shows the two boys trying to work as a team. One holds the seesaw, whilst the other tries to lift his leg to climb on. I remember watching this for sometime before an adult came to the rescue.

"Giant Panda Feeding 2"

I saw this giant panda eating bamboo during my visit to the Chengdu Panda Research Centre in October 2007.

It is the second time I painted this particular creature. Previously it was the subject of the soft pastel painting “Giant Panda Feeding”

"Taking in the Forbidden City"

This watercolour sketch was also painted from photographs taken during my 1998 trip to China. It shows a young Chinese woman looking out over a wall in the Forbidden City during my visit to Beijing in December 1998.
